what to treat a Wooden hot tub
« on: May 16, 2021, 05:51:06 am »
Just bought a new spruce wooden hot tub, it need painting on the outside - manual suggests linseed oil which is cheap enough but wondering is there anything better, used Osmo before now and that seems good. Would also like to darken it a bit as its very Pine in colour.

Thoughts please?

There are a ton of products that will work fabulous on that. Treat it just like you would a piece of OUTDOOR wooden furniture or deck. Make sure its as dry and clean as possible and apply liberally. Olympic, Behr, Valspar, Sikkens. But linseed oil is super easy, only a rag and rubber gloves required, will last for a couple 3 years but have to be repeated, but super easy..............
