Filter Cycle duration for Hot Spot spa using @ease SmartChlor
« on: February 19, 2021, 10:01:40 pm »
Hi there - new Hot Spot owner here. We are using the frog@ease system to manage our spa chemicals. The default setting on the tub runs two filter cycles, totaling 1.5 hours (Cycle 1 = 1 hour, Cycle 2 = 30 minutes), but the manual recommends 2 x 2.5 hour cycles (5 hours total) if you use @ease.

That seems like a long time. (And our electric bill was NOTICEABLY higher last month.) How long are other owners running the cleaning cycle with @ease?

I would do either 2 and 2 or 2.5 and 2.5. First month of hot tub ownership usually results in your highest electric bill. Heating up water 50-60 degrees or more isn’t cheap plus new owners typically use the new tub a ton when it’s brand new.
