I have a 2002 Caldera Tahitian spa that flashes 4 bars and shuts down.
I have changed out the high temp sensor and have also monitored the temp at the sensor with a remote probe. When tub is set to 80deg, the temp at the pipe exiting the heater is typically 72deg. I am running the unit without the filter to rule out a clogged filter and have been monitoring the tub temp to verify that it is actually the same as the temp on the display...actually off by 1 deg.
When the unit trips...goes to 4 bars, I reset the unit by cycling the breakers. The unit runs fine for approximately 12 to 16 hours and then trips. Blowers and pumps and heater will work at these times but after about half a day, the tub trips. This has been going on now for months.
Does anyone have any idea what this might be? Unfortunately, I am leaning toward having to replace the main control board.
