Hose leaks when i drain tub

I have a new bullfrog X7L. The first time i went to drain the tub and attached a garden hose to the outlet, when i pull the outlet outward, water sprays out all around where i attached the hose. I even tried another hose....same thing. Any experience this?

Make sure there is a gasket in place.

My advice...Never use a twist / pull drain on a hot tub. IMO it is the weakest part on most spas. As you mentioned you have to twist and pull and push and turn it every time you use it. Inside the spa there is a hose that is glued into the backside of the drain valve. The drain valve is held in place with a large nut. If the nut loosens then you start to torque on the glue fitting and next thing you know KABLAM! it fails and you now have a leak. Buy a Quick Drain. You can use it to drain the spa in a short period of time and can also use it as a vacuum to remove any dirt and debris from the seats and foot well area without loosing much water.
