no issues really, just make sure you get the soft water source tested because you don't want 0 grains of hardness so depending on your softener you MAY need to add a little liquid calcium...most of my customers run around a 75-150 ppm of hardness as a decent range

Fill 50/50 with soft/hard then balance your water.
