I've applied 303 to my cover (is this a good idea?  Some say yes, some say no) and was wondering if there is anything I need to apply to my synthetic cabinet for protection?

You shouldn't really have to put anything on it.  One of the best features for a synthetic cabinet is the lack of maintanence needed.  If it is dirty you can just hose it off.  If you want to go a little further, try some 303.  But you shouldn't need to.  You might try asking your dealer if there are specifics to the warranty, however.

Good luck!
Cheers

it really depends on what it is initially treated with.  if it's someting Thompsons water seal you may need to do it yearly.  personally, after researching and on the advice of my tub manufacturer, I used the Sikkens brand. one coat of the cetol 1 and 2 coats of the cetol 23. That was 2 years ago. with a rinse off the sides still look brand new.  however,  the top rail which on my tub, has exposed wood, could use a new coating this year.  another factor is how much direct sunlight your tub receives.  the more direct sun the more frequently you will need to treat it.

KC,

Good advice from keesterdog, I would add that it depends upon the type of wood.  Too many manufacturers are using a less quality wood and I believe that it will take more maintenance to keep the wood lasting a long time to gain the value from the spa.

My guess is that the manf. will recommend restaining every 6 months.
