PH Dropping In A New Jacuzzi
« on: January 29, 2020, 09:53:36 pm »
I have an 18 month old Jacuzzi. I am using chlorine pucks in a dispenser and spaboss shock.  I am able to keep the alkalinity and chlorine relatively stable however my PH drops on a weekly basis to the point where I need to add PH up. I use the tub 3-4 times a week and shock after each use.

I have had hot tubs for 35 years and have not experienced the ph dropping without a corresponding drop in alkalinity.

Any ideas on what could be causing this?

If you are adding chlorine tabs is likely that they are trichlor tabs. The ph in those tabs is around 3. They really aren’t meant for hot tubs more for pools. Quit using it and switch to something else
