I was wondering if it’s a good idea to add some extra insulation in the cavity where the heater and jets are. My tub is outside in upstate NY and I expect lows of negative double digits... and hope to use the tub all winter. I bought the tub used and it came with a “blanket” to tack up inside the door but that thing seems lame... it doesn’t cover the whole space and doesn’t have baffles so the insulation sags.
Right now I just stuck some pink fiberglass in there as we’ve hit the teens a few nights recently. This is my first hot tub and I just got it running.
Loving it so far!!!
