Hi

My wife and I have recently decided to purchase a hot tub. It's only the two of us (early 40's) with no kids, so looking for a hot tub to relax in after our many activities. We live in Quebec City where winters can be pretty brutal. I plan on building a covered patio and the spa will be placed under the covered patio.

I have started researching brands and models and find that there are contradicting articles and bloggers etc... out there on the web so I need help in narrowing down the choices of hot tubs I have research so far. Hopefully some posters can help us with our research before we wet test them.

So far I have research and visited the following brands models

Marquis Vector V94 (priced at $10,500 CAD) looks like a nice tub, would definitely opt for full foam option ($200 more). My only issue with this is the warranty is the least out of all of the hot tubs researched at 3 years all others at 5 years

Jacuzzi J-345 (priced at $9,400 CAD) & J-445 ($12,400 CAD)

Hotsprings Vanguard (Priced $13,500 CAD) very nice hot tub, highest priced and I am not sure about dealer for after sales service though

Bullfrog A6 (priced $11,000 CAD) or A7 ($13,000 CAD) not sure about performance in winter, but there jetpacks seems really cool and comfy would definitely want to wet test.

Master Spas Twilight 8.25 (priced $12,000 CAD) dealer is from Montreal but would honor all warranty and servicing even though 2.5 hours away.

My boss has a Jacuzzi going on 10 years and says he's never really had a problems with it other than heat pump after 6 years which he had to change.

We would really like the best bang for our buck and will wet test probably 3

Really appreciate any help or insight anyone has.

thanking the forum in advance

cheers

David

I would try and wet test as many as possible. Enjoy the process, go after hours or late.
