Electrical issue
« on: June 11, 2019, 09:42:17 am »
Hey all, it's me again....

I can't find an answer I understand. I have a 50 amp GFCI box already in place. The tub I am getting is a 36 amp. It would seem I do NOT need to replace the 50 amp GFCI box with a smaller box. The 36 amp tub can be used with the current box. Is this correct?

It is fine given your new tub has a single 240v connection and the GFCI is not a split 240v GFCI, or the other way around.  Most of the tubs that take a split GFCI provide you one included in the price of the tub.
