Scumbug sucked into filter tube

I was changing my filter and didn’t put the tub on Hold mode and when I replaced the filter I heard the pump running really loud. Scumbug nowhere to be found. I thought I took it out of the tub but I can't find it anywhere, pieces are going through the jets. I suspect it was sucked up while the filter was out. Do I have to drain it and how do I get it out. I tried wet vacuuming the pipe but no luck.

You would need to disconnect the fitting that connects the plumbing to the front of the pump and stick your fingers in the pump and try to pull out any pieces.  At this point, it sounds like it's breaking up and there may not be any big pieces in there.  I would probably drain the spa, disconnect the pump and put a shop vac into the wet end at both ports.
