If you can get the Jacuzzi J-375 for $6500 with out the stereo gettttt it,you don't need a stereo that you know will not last that many years in the spa before the speakers fall apart. It does not really matter if you get a Hotspring Sundance Jacuzzi or Marquis because all those spas are the tops and i am sure there are a few other. But whatever one you buy i am sure you will enjoy it.I know someone that just bought a 1 pump Emerald spa for $3200 and he loves it,I was going to say he might have scr*ewd up but when he said the price i thought maybe he got a good deal, but then again I never heard of good 1 pump spas.JohnnyT

In this statement you say Hotspring is one the best manufacturers.

In this statement you say Hotspring isn’t one of the best manufacturers because Hotspring they offer 4 spas that have only one pump. The Jetsetter, Prodigy, Sovereign, Vanguard are all one pump systems. I think the owners of these spas would disagree with your statement.
Are you saying that Hotspring makes an inferior product, one of the best manufacturers or don’t you know anything about spa manufacturers?
Just a little confused on your comments. Do you mind clearing them up for me?

I agree with Tubnerd. Own a J 385 and love it...more then enough power, plenty of room and great seating. We are 6' and 5'7" and we are usually the only two in it. We are very happy with our Jacuzzi.

The only thing I am saying is that all those companys make great spas,Don't know much about Hotsprings but everyone loves them on this board.I checked out the Emeralds first with the 1 pump and it felt weak and then the salesman showed me the differance with a 2 pump and it was day and night.I am sure whatever spa people buy most will be very happy.Everyones trashing each others spas but whatever they can afford they will be happy or most will....Jt

i want to thank everyone for their comments, i ordered................................................................................................................ the sundance optima.
The final price was 7559.00 which includes all the normal stuff, plus a large pad, and a couple extra filters thrown in. At some point its time to move on, and enjoy life again. Shopping is not fun. Again thanks for all your help.

c010550,
What is 'normal stuff?' Does your figure include tax?

Congrats! You'll love the tub and enjoy every minute in it. I have a j-370 and wouldn't change anything.
By the way, I had a great time shopping. Loved wet testing all the different tubs. Actually felt bitter sweet when I made my decision and had no reason to wet test.....hmmmmm, the dealers don't know I have a tub!!!

Congrats... You're gonna love it. Hope the wait isn't too long. For us it was a long 6 weeks. Well worth it though.

I am shopping for an Optima as well. When you say the price included a large pad, what are you referring to? Cement pad or some other material to place the spa on?

at the spa store, they sell these pad sections, looks like they are made out of a compressed styrophome (sp) material. one of our neighbors has the same product, we are not pouring a concrete base nor is the tub being place on a deck,,,
we are putting it under our deck, we have a walkout lower level that flows to a poured concrete patio, and the tub will be placed under the deck to the left of the patio

Congratulations. It is truly a great spa. My dealer carries those same pads and says they have had good luck with them so far. It certainly makes installation easier.

It is correct that the Sundance has the subwoofer. I don’t know what you mean in you question of is it a powered subwoofer.
