Just for fun, and to stir things up a bit, I thought it would be interesting to ask who you think the five worst spa makers are and why.

I know, I know - I just just shut up and go for a long soak!

I'll play! ;D

1) Haven - overpriced knock-off's. Lack of quality control and CSA approval for complete unit. Many complaints of service issues and they require the owner to be an engineer in order to purchase one. Everyone else is too stupid to understand jets, acrylic, tin foil and pumps. Out"dait"ed designs.

2) Cal Spa Too many compaints on spa forums for customer service and not honoring warranties.

3) Department store brands Selling on PRICE alone. Appeals to people that can't afford a decent spa and they don't have staff that can relate the benefits to the consumer. No service, follow-up or explaining proper use or water care. Poor quality.

4) Beachcomber Cause I don't sell them anymore and there's waaaaaay more of them in our city than Hydropool's! OK...so I'm jealous!

5) Did I mention Haven? ;)

for reputations in the industry these come to mind:
Haven
Thermospas
Cal Spas
and all the companies that have gone out of business over the years.
those that seem to change their name every couple years like cal-x, sequoia, fun spas, islander or whatever you are calling yourself this year

Where would Viking Spa's be in the list?  I know there not up at the top, but I had one for a while and love it so far.

If you have a spa, and it's been reliable and enjoyable, than all the ratings in the world are meaningless.

CORRECTION: Haven is NOT a spa maker and by definition cannot make this list. That is an internet spa sales operation. The spa maker is Phoenix so they'll have to be the ones taking the hit for the substandard Quality of Haven spas. Haven would be on the list of 5 worst spa dealers.
220, 221, whatever it takes!

Exactly, except that the unsuspecting doctors, lawyers, rocket scientists, and all the other highly intelligent professionals that purchase Haven spas don't realize that once Jimmy boy gets done fiddling around with the Phonix spa, it probably shoots the Phoenix warranty right out the window, and invalidates the ETL or UL listing.  I challenge anyone to get Arjuna to answer to either of these issues.
