Literally losing my mind

So many dif brands

Then I figured out I wanted to JetsetterNXT but my local dealer
Quoted it at 9000.00 even before tax
Why in the world is a 3 person jacuzzi that much
You can even get the Hot Springs Envoy NXT for 12000.00
You would think 3 less seats and not as big of a manufacturing cost
That the Jetsetter NXT would be no more than 7000.00
Absolutely gutted as I hung up the phone 10 minutes ago

9000 before tax

They have the regular jetsetter for 7300.00

I know ppl are going to say if you want quality you got to pay for it
But the 9000 for 3 person tub makes no sense at all

Just because he asked for $9k doesn't mean you have to pay that. Make him an offer and tell him its the highest you'll go or you'll walk and walk if he doesn't match or at least reasonably counter. Don't lose your mind over this stuff, be patient, firm and polite when shopping and know that sometimes you won't come to an agreement and if that happens you just move on.

BTW, I'm not sure I'd agree that because the larger spa is $12k that the smaller should be $7k, that's a huge difference and its not as easy as saying one is XX% smaller.

Unfortunately, size and price don't really go together and never have in this industry.  Yes, there is less material cost of a Jetsetter NXT, but the labor to manufacturer is probably very similar and so is the amount of money budgeted by the manufacturer for warranty.  $12,000 for an Envoy NXT is low, should be at least $1,000 higher.  $9,000 for a Jetsetter NXT is a pretty good price, I am at $9,500.  It was the same deal when I sold Marquis.  An Epic would be around $12,500 and a Spirit was around $8,500.  Premium products can command a premium price.  You can always offer less than $9,000 but if you are expecting $7,000, your dealer may not even counter because what you want is so far off from what the product sells for.

With the NXT you are paying a lot for pretty and probably some bells and whistles.     Go with the std jetsetter, be happy and save 2 grand.

Remember though the Jetsetter NXT is different than the Highlife Jetsetter.  It’s deeper, 220V only, larger pump, more jets, TRI-X filters, polymer frame and wireless touchscreen control panel.

A ferrari coupe cost more than a Kia Sorrento... is that logical?  I can fit more people in the Kia, and gas cost less.

To the OP, size isn't always the main factor in pricing ;)

If you are losing your mind over this... you need a hot tub ASAP.  Go get one!   ;D

Save your money and go to Costco to buy your spa.

As an FYI, the maker of Hot Spring Spas also sells spas on/at Costco.

And the only similarity is that Watkins is the parent company.

Looks like the least expensive Aquaterra's that are roto molded might be the same as a Freeflow or Fantasy (have never seen one in person so cannot confirm).  However, a Freeflow or Fantasy are not the same as a Hot Spring or Caldera.

Understood. I was considering one but one horsepower motor with all those jets would be weak, to say the least.

Checking in to report I’m still losing my mind

That is all

P.S , if quoted 8999 for Jetsetter NXT

Think I can walk in (cash in hand ) and walk out the door

For it at 8000 ?

I hear you can get taxes you paid on it back if a doctor suggests it ?

It depends on your dealer.  Money talks and if you are ready to buy, you are going to get your dealers lowest offer.  If they are willing to let you walk, then you know that is as good as it gets.

Me personally, I would decline.  Within reason I can make the decision on less than optimal offers and only have to go to my boss for approval when the offer is really low.  Your number is really low, to the point where I don't know if I would even ask my boss.
