Dichlor and MPS at the same time?
« on: March 27, 2018, 01:58:35 pm »
Hey everyone,

Recently I've been told mixed reviews about adding dichlor and MPS into a tub at the same time. Someone had told me that if they're added together at the same time they cancel each other out, is that correct? I had always thought that MPS breaks apart chloramines back into free chlorine, so wouldn't this in fact be the opposite of cancelling each other out? Just looking for a little clarification, thank you in advance!

Here is an older thread on the subject. I just added both together today.

Might just be personal preference but I normally use one or the other...I do use a bromine system FWIW.  I do use both MPS and Dichlor, but not at the same time.
