Dreammaker Crossover 740L Rotomolded 2 pump hot tub?
« on: April 02, 2018, 10:21:31 am »
Does anyone have any input on how these rotomolded tubs stand up to use and the elements? ive read these types of tubs are extremely durable as far as the shell and uni-body construction is concerned. I can score one of these for around 5k (financed) new with a 2 year warranty locally and 5 year shell/body warranty. Im trying to decide if this is a better route vs going with a used craigslist tub with no warranty and questionable condition (around 2k tops budget).

No experience with newer Dreammakers.  If there is nothing wrong with that Marquis, I would go that route.  I think that's a really fair price if everything is in working condition.  Even if you need a new cover, still a good deal.

I would agree. That Marquis is a good deal. But as roto mold go Dreamaker is a fine choice. I think you'll get a better hydromassage from the Marquis.

looks like the marquis was snagged up but im sure there will be more deals.... so i would assume most of you guys would say a 5-10 year old big name brand spa would be better than a new dreammaker or similar rotomold spa? some of the 10 year old spa's appear outdated with only maybe 5-10 jets for the whole tub.

Hello, Im still super super new to the hot tub scene but I will tell you my first purchase was a FreeFlow Spa... biggest version you can buy... I have the 220v as well.. I can honestly say I wasn't happy one bit... the saying you get what you pay for I think is a big big thing for hot tubs.. I have since returned it and custom ordered a Hot Springs Tub... also I can't stress enough WET test them...

ive already wet tested all the brands and models 2 years ago when i had a custom tub made. I dont think i will buy a brand new high end tub again.... I may stick to the craigslist idea and try to snag a decent tub under the 2-2.5k mark.

What ended up happening with that custom built tub you ended up getting?  Wasn’t that long ago and you are already back in the market for a new one?

That’s a big change. Cold up in Maine. There are a couple bigger dealers up there that sell used tubs as well
