What kind of spa is it? This does matter as far as how you cart it and lift it. Also, what part of the country are you? There are several spa moving companies that may be worth your while paying. They have the equipment and knowledge.

solid ground with no obstructions in the way, I helped my dealer move in the tub and they used heavy duty conduit (pvc) to slide the tub into the notch I cut into my deck, moved around real easy then just eased them out from under the tub.

Delivery of tub is this Friday

Slab where tub to go is not ready

Will have to put tub on other slab (in front of back door) till the new slab is ready. so I will have to move it into place at some point. And before you ask, no cannot cancel/postphone delivery.

I was trying to figure out how to do this.

Without knowing more, can you:

Leave the tub up on it's side next to the slab? Once it's ready simply lay it down?

Set the spa on PVC as was mentioned above and roll it.

Set the spa on plywood and scoot it.

Have the dealer loan you a dolly and a guy to help.

Pay a dealer to do the job.

OK, rolling it on PVC works great but only with the spa setting flat. If you try to roll it on anything on its side you will damage that cabinet. You can go to HomeDepot, Harbor freight or lowes and buy a 4 wheel dolly for about $20 or to your local rental yard and rent it for about $5 a day. Place plywood sheets over any rough terrain or uneven surface, put the dolly in the center of the footwell and roll it in place.

We've even used a furniture dolly on both sides in a pinch and moved them that way. I would offer the delivery crew a spiff to come back a week later and move it after hours provided the dealer doesn't mind this. Remember that you will still probably need the dolly as it wouldn�t be fair to the dealer to put the wear on his equipment without him making anything on it.
