Price check thread....
« on: July 30, 2017, 01:27:55 pm »
I've been shopping for a tub the last couple of weeks, we wet tested a hot spring grandee  last weekedn and then a Bullfrog a7L yesterday. I've been watching the threads and seeing what people are being offerrd etc and thought I could make this post for people to pay what they bought, how much they paid, where they bought it  and what they got included, i know road would help me and I'm sure others too.

I was offered an aria  for $13200 with included by Capitol spas is fairfax VA.

Was also offered e following at the Bullfrog dealer in Charlottesville :

Wet floor mode A7L with ozonator ( no circ pump) lights cover and lifter steps and audio package for $11500 Inc tax ( which I though was a bit high)

We were also offered and R7L dry floor model with steps, coverlifter, cover and ozonator ( no circ pump for $8000 plus tax

Or if we custom ordered a new R7L with steps, cover, lifter, ozonator  and circ pump it was $10200 Inc tax, again I thought a bit high.

Anyway would appreciate thoughts on above prices and people posts of what, where and how much they bought, i'm sure having this thread could help a lot of others for a reference.

Those Bullfrog prices are in line with the national average and really where they should be priced.  I don't know where these crazy low prices are coming from.

Wdme got our A7L for almost a grand less in South central PA.   Our dealer had an A8 floor model for not much more than your quoted price!

I got quoted at $16,895 for an A8 and $14395 for an R8 yesterday. Bullfrog was the last tub for me to wet test & I loved it. But I think those prices were way high. I think Im going to end up with the Sundance Optima -

We paid around 12.1 for a 2017 Sundance Aspen. We were quoted anywhere from that to almost 15.7 for it.

If I recall correctly, the A8 was tagged in the $13's before any discounts at our local store.

2 dealers within an hour of me....they are both about the same price.  It's a cash price but I dont think financing is much different.

Not surprising...after the cost of the spa, commission, delivery crew, accessories, and a 3.5% CC charge so you can get your airline miles he's made just enough net profit to take his wife to dinner at Applebee's.....juice ain't worth the squeeze on that deal

Well both bullfrog stores around me aren't really focused on hot tubs.  One is a pool company, the other is all outdoor patio stuff.

They aren't living and dying by these deals, might be why I'm seeing the prices I am.

The main Caldera dealer and the HS dealers near me only sell tubs, so that's prob 90% of their revenue.

I hear ya - he would have had good recommendations for life though, that's for sure. One tremendously happy customer can bring in plenty more business for years to come. All good, I think I'll be in the Sundance Optima
