Optima is Here!!! - Question
« on: August 13, 2004, 09:18:54 am »
We got our Optima delivered yesterday and got it filled with water but due to weather out electrician could not come out.  So...  It's sitting there full of water with no chemicals.  Is it still OK to use this water if the electrician comes out today?  It will have sat about 24 hours without running or no chemicals.

You should not have any problems. 24hrs  is not a proble. as soon as you have your tub hooked up, turn it on and add your chems. then look at it inccesantly while it heats up.  Enjoy your favourite beverage and then about 10 hrs later, hop on in and melt away.

Congratulations on your Optima, it is a great tub.  If you can woul d love to see pics of your installation.

Great.  Thanks for the info.  Hopefully the electrician will be here this afternoon and we'll have it heating by early this evening.  The water temp right now is about 75 degrees so it may not take that long to heat up (this is my wishfull thinking...).  Once we get the backyard a little 'cleaned up' I'll post some pics.

I had a similar question when we took delivery. See link for advice I got.

If your water is already at 75 degrees, expect about a 4 degree per hour temperature increase so, maybe you'll be good to go in 5 or 6 hours.

Congratulations!

I just got my Cameo about a week ago. My water temp started at 72 degrees and I was at my setpoint of 100 degrees when I checked again 4 hours later.

Happy tubbing! 8)
