UV light disinfectant with Softubs.

Anyone try using UV light to disinfect with??? I have been doing some research, most units are kind of complicated and require a thousand bucks (too rich for my blood) to purchase. The Softub Chemicals make the water feel and smell off.

You will never get enough disinfecting with a UV light to keep your water clean. If you never got in your tub you might be able to keep it clean as long as you used a disinfectant to get it clean.

I would just use a good ozonator, it will do as good of a job as a UV system, or better. 

You also can use a Nature 2 or SpaFrog mineral cartridge which uses silver chloride and other natural elements to limit the need for chemicals.
