Phoenix spas
« on: August 03, 2004, 09:16:37 pm »
Hey,
I'm finally back from vacation and am looking for the pictures that where floating around of the phoenix warehouse with several spas setting out back of the factory baking in the sun. Does anyone have these? Also, feel free to throw in some comments about them good or bad. I have a dealer looking at them and want to give him all of the info I can.

Thanks.

Hey Stu

Do a search of this and the link to the website will pop up in a couple of different threads.

Is this seriously the manufacturing facility of Phoenix Spas?

No, its Haven Spas.

I actually got an email from Jim with a link to the SPA Specialist. He read a post of mine from another board about the troubles I am having getting a dealer to work with me in Mississippi, and sent me a link to his sight.

Yes, that is the Phoenix plant.

I have conflicting answers on whose plant that is…

Call me ignorant for this post, but who would buy a spa from a “manufacturer” where the manufacturing plant looks like that?  That is worse than a fraternity house bathroom.

Also, I have read many posts before about Jim and his reason why the spas need to be outside and uncovered.  Does someone have the link to his post or could someone explain what he said?

Thanks.

The pictures are of the Phoenix plant. I have seen the whole set, and you can very clearly read "Phoenix Spas" on the front of the building in huge letters, as well as on the control boxes of some of the spas. I have also read replies from people who live nearby and verify that we are looking at the Phoenix spa plant, and former wood mill or somesuch.

Why the spas are out of doors in such a hot climate can only be answered by them.....

ummmmmmmmmmmm, They don't actually manufacturer spas, but buy them from Phoenix and rebrand them.
If you can't sell it on eBay, it may not even qualify as landfill.

In the Eric saga, didn't the topic of jet handles and jet fittings which were faded as if exposed to long-term sunlight come up?

Just an idle question...

I see all of you have had some run-in with him.  I see some of these posts date back to 2002 and probably some go back earlier.  I obviously was not posting at that time, but thanks for the informative reading.  I will have to take a vacation to read all of it.

I honestly do not understand why they would put them outside, uncovered, and without water.  That is absolutely the worst thing for a spa shell even if it is the “strongest” in the industry.

I have to give some credit (to whomever) on spending the time to get those pictures.  That just shows all of you are serious about proving this guy is not a spa professional, and the products he sells are not of the highest quality.

It made me wonder if Hotspring or Sundance bleaches their spas when they deliver them to Europe…

This thread hasn't even started to cover all of the issues at Phoenix.  Nobody has mentioned the fires which have broken out in the factory due to carelessness.  Puts a lot of confidence in their products, eh?

Wow,
Thanks guys, it's nice to see you all haven't been sitting around eating bon bons while I was away but instead keeping up on the industry buzz as always.

This info is great and I will pass it on. I guess it's true, "ask and ye shall receive, seek and ye shall find."

No they haven't, but now that you've brought it up and got my interest could you please elaborate?

Brewman,
I really am interested in the fires your talking about. Do you or anyone else have additional info?
