curing a concrete pad
« on: April 23, 2017, 08:14:13 pm »
Hi Everyone,

I had my contractor level out our existing concrete pad with more concrete on Thursday. Our tub was delivered Saturday afternoon, and we were hoping to fill it on Monday, but my mom told me I should wait at least a week before filling it to let the concrete cure. What do you guys think? Our contractor thought it would be fine by Monday, but he doesn't have a lot of hot tub experience. Please let me know.

Thanks!
Vanessa

Just had my pad poured 3 weeks ago and our contractor recommended a week for curing.

Depends on what he did Vanessa, You say he leveled your existing pad. Did he use a thin set type concrete?
