Thank You Canada
« on: July 26, 2004, 08:04:49 am »
A "Canadian air mass" swooped down over the great lakes this weekend giving overnight temps in the 50 and 60s with breezes!  This is unheard of in July. The tub got cranked up to 102 and it was a wonderful weekend.

Now that we got this extra one, please hang on to those air masses come February!  ;)

The Canadian air mass hit North Dakota too. I had company and we spent most of the weekend in the spa.
Did anyone else see the northern lights on Saturday night? They were awesome! Dancing, shooting and flashing all over the night sky.
A hot bubbly spa, great friends, good wine, and the most awesome display of the northern lights I've seen in years! What a great way to spend a Saturday night!!

In my lifetime I'm only seem them this far south twice.  I've been to 45 of the 50 states, but ND isn't one of them.

Well most people visit N.D. by just passing through as they're going to another state.
We do get to see the northern lights quite often up here, but usually not as early as July.
Makes me wonder what kind of winter is around the corner.

;D  The Canadians have done it again.  This is incredible for August. Last night the temps dropped into the 60's!  We are expecting low 50's tonight!

We actually had a fire and cooked out last night and cranked the tub to 102 and enjoyed about an hour soak in the crystal clear night air.  We even enjoyed the 8 or 9 stars visible in the clear sky from our suburban location

You gotta love it.  We've had a very easy summer so far, not too many days over 90.  Last night was a great night for soaking.  Overnight temps in the 50's!

You are all most welcome. Although after our last winter we were hoping for somewhat of a more warmer summer.  But hey, with our tub in place who's complaining.

Yep, gotta agree with the thanks here! Its only 71 right now, and lows tonight in the 50s! Absolutely gorgeous, looking forward to a long soak tonight!

BTW, wmccall, I think your counter is off a little!  ;)  Virgina Tech vs USC in 22 days! Let's go Hokies!!!  ;D Though I'm not holding my breath for a win in that one...

Yep, ain't that the truth! Glad to see VT take a stand and suspend him though. Nice to see my alma mater is still showing some integrity, unlike some other Big East now ACC school. sarcasm on...Thought it was nice of Miami to give their on probation, repeat offender with a how ever many page rap sheet another opportunity to get his act together and play for them  ::) sarcasm off...
