The bottom frame underneath my hot tub is pressure treated wood that has paint peeling off it from spraying around the deck with a hose. Also the tub's frame sits on pressure treated 3/4" plywood as a base. I built a deck around the tub where the deck boards sit over top of the plywood base. When it rains the water cannot dry underneath and I am worried about wood rot. I am wondering if I should paint and use waterproof sealant on the base of the hot tub and what the the plywood it sits on?
