Hot Springs Sovereign Installation Question
« on: June 18, 2016, 06:33:43 pm »
We are replacing a 20 year old tub with a new Sovereign from Hot Springs.  The plywood platform we have is roughly 1" (max) uneven across the run of 76".

Although I could see that the old tub wasn't level it never really bothered us.  Should I be concerned about this gap from the standpoint of the tub?  Can shims be used for a gap like this?

Thanks in advance for your helpful comments!

If it did not bother you before, it should not bother you this time.

agreed but ask you dealer about shimming anyway and ask if they show where to shim for proper support and even then I still might only shim enough to reduce it, you don't have to be dead on level.
