Recommended sealants and advice
« on: February 07, 2016, 06:22:11 pm »
I recently acquired a nice used tub the 4 jets have been completely removed .I have another pump I'll attach another way later but for now I'd just like some help

I'm not concerned with appearance
But want some advice on tried and true
Sealants
The Jets left four 2.5"holes  that I'd like to plug
napa auto  only Sells rubber freeze plugs upto 2"
And the plumbing store didn't offer any help either

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Never used on a hot tub but this works great for aviation and automotive applications

plexi glass and silicone.
If you can't sell it on eBay, it may not even qualify as landfill.

Put the jets back in properly and cap the feeder line behind.

Thanks for the suggestions
I picked up another tub for free since i had no plexiglass i pulled the Jets and hoses
Going to put the Jets in with silicone and cap the back end . thanks for the
Time and advice

The rtv appears to have the quality to do the job being waterproof and heat and chemical resistant but it's more expensive than the silicone which appears to be the comom spa sealant
Happy tubin
