replacement hot tub cover
« on: October 27, 2015, 10:32:16 pm »
My insulated hot tub cover is falling apart though the foam inserts are still not saturated so the cover is useable. The tub is 18+ years old and I don't want to sink any money into it. The cover size is 80 in. x 80 in. I have searched resale sites like Kijiji and found used 82 in. x 82 in. lids for cheap but nothing that is 80x80. Is it worth getting the 82 in. x 82 in. cover or will the energy loss make it not worthwhile? Thanks for the feedback. Keepingwarm.

What energy loss?  The cover just sits on the top of the tub so the only difference I can see is that you'll have 1" overhang around the tub.
