Hi, new to the forum but not new to hot tubs.  Looking at purchasing a Jacuzzi J-315.  Need input as to whether to wire it for 220 or 110 plug and play.   We're in southwest Florida so it never gets that cold here.  Also, we were quoted a price of $5995 which includes the steps and cover.  Is that a fair price?  Thanks in advance for your input.

220v will make the heater operate at a much higher kw, but in South Florida it's probably not a big deal.  It will take longer to heat initially and you won't be able to run the jets on high speed with the heater on.  Again though, not that big of a deal in South Florida.  Have you gotten quotes for both?  If it were only an extra couple of hundred dollars I would still probably run 220v.

No need to go 220V unless you are going to be using it for hours at a time.

Quote sounds like a good price.  Get a cover lifter.
