I am 5'0" myself and own a HotSpring Vanguard.  It fits me and my requirements perfectly.

She really needs to wet test.  That is the only way to know for sure if it fits her (and you) or not.

Good luck!!!
Oklahoma Vanguard owner-don't hold that against me

Most of the major companies will have at least one or two models that seem to fit shorter/smaller people better. Take your time and check out the dealers in your area. If you run across a Beachcomber dealer, I would recommend looking at the 530, or possibly the 720.

Most tubs have seats of various heights. I have a Bahia and I'm 5' 6. I know that a 5 ft person would be okay in two of the seats but the other two would be too deep.  I agree, you really should test them.  There is also a water booster seat available.

Yes I am a Beachcomber owenr, but a minor factor on our decision was that my wife is vertically challenged too and the 38" tub with deep foot wells=short depth at the seats. Give it a try and see if it fits you!

I agree with zz, most manufactures have a couple of spas that work for all sizes. Don't discount any spa before you actually try it. Also most dealers keep more water in the spas than you will because of your wife being "vertically challenged" so let the dealer know before the wet test that they might have to compensate some with the amount of water in the spa. Give Marquis and beachcomber a try.

I agree with Stuart. We wet-tested several different manufacturers because of this problem  (I'm 5ft3, and my hubby is 6ft5), but we found that the marquis reward was the best for us

I am 5'1" and hubby is 6'0- we just got the Marquis Reward SA and every seat is great. I just asked hubby last night if he found it deep enough and he said yes, no problem.

My wife is 5-feet, I am 6-feet tall and we found the Caldera spas worked very well for both of us.  Caldera has a raised area in the foot-well that facilitates obtaining and maintaining a foothold.  My wife found this feature particularly useful when the jets were on.

You need to try various spas for yourselves, but FWIW we tried Jacuzzi Premium, Hot Spring, and Marquis as well as Caldera before making our decision.

Regards,

Bill
