Help with leak around jet
« on: August 25, 2015, 10:33:47 am »
Hello folks,

I've found two (so far) slow drips underneath my hot tub which appear to be coming from around the body of jets. The yellow foam insulation below both jets is saturated like a sponge and then the water runs down the outside of the insulation and drips on to the floor of the hot tub.

I'd be grateful if someone could offer me some guidance as to how to precisely locate the leak and/or how to proceed with repair.  It's a Gulf Coast Spa...I know they're gone but I think the parts are common.

I uploaded a picture of one of the jets here:

The area where I pulled away some of the insulation at the bottom is very wet...hard to tell where it's coming from exactly but I think maybe from the right side of the jet.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Ross

If it were me I think I'd want to remove enough of the spray on foam to be able to visually inspect where the leak is coming from.  Once that's done, the repair should be pretty straight forward.
