$20 a month heated to 100-104 degrees, using it every day on California power rates? no way, no how...I'm sorry you were deceived, and of course a new motherboard isn't going to fix the problem because the spa was continuously "calling for heat" because it needed to, not because it was broken.

The only way any spa is going to cost $20/month in CA is on tier 1 on your PG&E bill.  Even then, not likely.
