Sundance Cayman Help me Fast please!
« on: December 03, 2014, 07:51:40 pm »
Went to look at a dealer refurbished Sundance Cayman today. Was told that it was 7 years old and would come with a 1yr warranty. :-\

The salesman said he would go $3500.00 delivered and set up, and wouldnt go any lower. I went in originally to look at a Jacuzzi refurbished, but it was already sold. (bait/switch??)

The business is reputable and has been around for over 25yrs. They do 12 months same as cash, and I may have did that if they would have dropped the price $400-$500.

Any words of wisdom on this? If its a great deal I dont want to miss it, but its not the Jacuzzi that I went to see in the 1st place. Help.

I THINK this is the same one thats for sale.

I think it's an alright deal for 3500.00.    The one year warranty is a good thing.

thanks for the response! In your opinion,  should I try to talk it down to $3,000?

You can try never hurts to ask.  If they don't budge, see if they will throw in a lift.

Its surprising that you got 1 year!! I'd shoot for the lifter if they won't take less (offer cash).

i cant offer cash at Christmas time...lol...I wish I could. I'd have to go the 12 months same as cash option.

If a hot tub is refurbished, Does that mean they put in NEW Motors and seals?

For them to offer 12 months same as cash for a used spa is crazy enough.  Take the deal or not, cause if you don't someone else will.    Refurbished pretty much means they went through it and fixed what was broken if anything was.  The fact you got a years worth of warranty work if needed,  again is really good. Don't be too greedy go for the lift, if they take the offer be happy.   It's not like they are screwing you over to make a buck here because they are probably not.   As a sales person myself, don't waste their time if your not really interested.  Used spas are usually a take it or leave it sort of deal..

JJ speaks, as he says as a salesman.  As just a consumer, I have to agree with his take on this one. This is reasonable deal and I seriously doubt any kind of bait and switch.

A one year warranty on a seven year old hot tub is pretty unheard of. I am guessing its in pretty good shape for them to offer that. I would typically only go 90 days on used spas. Sounds like a really good deal to me, esp with the 12 months same as cash option.
