leaky hyropool

so i picked up a used hydropool knowing it had a leak that need to be fixed, well the leak was easy to find its were the suction line goes into the fiberglass at the bottom of the foot well. no when i pulled on the line it came right out all the glue they used had completely let go. no having fixed a fe jets on my fathers tub we had all the glue and primers left and attempted to glue the suction line back into the molded fiberglass part of the tub. the problem is the pvc cement did not work we let it sit for 20 mins and it still easily pulled apart.

Dose any one know of a glue that would hold the pvc pipe in to the fiberglass/ acrylic the tub is made out of. i was kinda thinking a plastic bonding epoxy (jb weld makes one that supposed to work on pvc and fiberglass) but maybe theres something better.
