I've been researching Waterway Executive 48 Frame, Executive 56 Frame and Viper units. I'm looking at either 3 or 4 hp. Would the difference in operating costs justify using an Executive 48 frame pump over an Executive 56 frame? If I understand correctly, the 56 frame pump would last longer due to running cooler and would also have more power/flow than the 48 frame? When comparing the Executive 56 to the Viper, the Viper energy consumption is relatively close, but the flow rating is roughly 50% more. Would the increased flow from the Viper result in significantly stronger jets? Would I be more at risk for leaks with that much of an increase in water pressure? My tub came from the factory with a 3HP 2 Speed pump(I assume it was a 48 frame) and 2 intakes in the shell. If I upgraded to a Viper pump, should I add a 3rd intake for safety or would the 2 suffice?
