BullFrog R7 for $7k ?????
« on: August 27, 2014, 10:32:06 pm »
Hi gang - I'm still shopping and learning all about hot tubs. Quite an experience. One think I learned, and this may sound obvious, is that I absolutely MUST sit in the exact model spa I would be buying, and MUST, at a minimum, feel the same jets/pumps in a wet test. In other words, you can't sit in the sister lounger model, if you really want to buy the no lounger one. Amazing how different the tubs feel. Sat in an Arctic today. A beautifl tub, but the sides are real high on it, and you can't see over them. I felt enclosed. Not for me.

Anyway ... local dealer has a Bullfrog R7 for about $7300. This is the floor model. Dry. If I could get that for $7k out the door, is that a good price? I really like the Bullfrog 5 year warranty. (PS - this is after a Bullfrog $500 rebate).

Thanks!

I agree that sounds like a good price.  We were looking at an R7 and I was targeting a price around $7500 (starting asking price was either $9000 or $9500).  Ultimately we chose a different tub after wet testing.

Test it wet, and jump on it if you like it.

i paid slightly more, but was able to get it the way i wanted it. If they are giving you the floor model, does it have the jet packs you want? If not, maybe pay a little more - worth it to have the jets you need.

Not sure who's commenting on the price, but i love my R7 and it was well worth the price i paid.

Yea it's important to get the jets packs that feel good because only one may feel good. The rest you may not like. Everybody's different and wet testing is important if you want the best experience down the road.

Maybe none of them feel good?

Fyi, it's usually a difficult choice narrowing down JetPaks.  They are all pretty good.  Besides being the only flush mounted jets in the industry, there's some pretty cool configurations.  My personal opinion is that they are tied with D1 for having the best neck jets in the industry.
