Opinions/ideas on 2013 vista vs 2014 envoy
« on: August 08, 2014, 02:38:21 pm »
Looking for any dealers or recent owners of HS Vista or Envoy to chime in.  I had planned to get a 2013 Envoy but HS issued 2014 models before I pulled the trigger, and I've been unable to find a 2013 Envoy model (2 dealers searched).  So, its either a 2014 Envoy, or a 2013 remaining Vista floor model that one dealer has left.  I can see the obvious differences (hip/knee jets on some seats in the Envoy, a couple extra inches in the lounge chair on the Vista (good since I'm 6'4"), water feature blocks seat in Vista but not Envoy, textured floor in Envoy, etc).  They've knocked $1000 off the 2013 Vista price, so it is ~$1400 less than the 2014 Envoy.  I am not clear on 2014 Envoy upgrades compared to the 2013 model except for "better LED lights, panel and a detachable remote" (which I really don't care about), and a vague "redesigned jets".  Does anyone have more on that?  It seems that all these changes raised the 2014 Envoy model price about $2000 over the 2013 model (ouch!).  I'm weighing whether it makes more sense to go with a "discounted and slightly larger" 2013 Vista vs the "more expensive for revamped features I may not really want all of" 2014 Envoy.  Would really appreciate hearing from anyone with other info or better resolution on the "redesigned jets" claim to help come to a decision as these are both stretching our designate hot tub budget.  Thanks!  Jim

In 2013 they had both Envoy and Vista but for 2014 they basically combined them and made it a size in between but used the Envoy name so one thing you're missing is the Envoy is bigger and deeper in 2014 than 2013 so that's part of the reason its sticker went up that much. The 2014s are really nice and I know you'll love the Envoy but at the same time don't hesitate to take a really good deal on a 2013 because that Vista is nice.
