I believe you freeze the Twinkie and the batter. That's how I've seen it done. I think you fry them til they float.Don't forget the powdered sugar and chocolate syrup, or you can add blueberries or raspberries.
Freeze the batter? I dunno. My limited cullanary skills has proven that cold batter doesn't work as well? I was told to put sticks in the candy, chill. dip in the batter and fry till golden brown.
I think if you don't freeze the batter, it's going to be extra crispy while the Twinkie is still frozen. I'm telling you, that's the way they do it at the State Fair of Texas. Fair folk know better than us.Terminator
