Sundance Cameo (2010 Model) - 'blb' error - how to clear?!?

Requesting help from someone familiar with the Sundance Cameo.

Last night, I noticed that my hot tub was flashing an error code of 'blb'.  I was surprised when the error code was not in the manual, and started to do some research online.  From what I've gleaned, it has to do with the Clear Ray UV system, which is standard in newer models (but was not on mine).

It took me a while to figure out why, but I got a new topside installed since 2012 when the circuitry went bad.  My best guess is that this model topside installed has 'knowledge' of the Clear Ray system, and this is the automated message to tell me to replace it (which, of course, I cannot)

So, my question - how can I clear this error message?  I'm sure my dealer will charge me a fee to come out and look at this problem (which is a product of them installing this part and my model not being one that uses this Clear Ray system).  Everything else seems to be running fine.

That's really odd your spa would have that error-- fortunately, I can help.

You're right - The topside control (and possibly a new circuit board) have the "knowledge" or "logic" for ClearRAY. There are a few steps to take to re-set it, and to erase the function:

To Reset: (Do this first)
12.8 Programming the CLEARRAY® (Ultraviolet) Water
Purification System
To access the programming options follow the step below.
• Standard Mode - in this mode, press the (CYCLE) button three
times;
• Economy Mode - in this mode, press the (CYCLE) button
seven times to enter the programming mode.
The LCD screen will display “U.” At this time the system is ready to
accept your changes.
1. Press the (SELECT) button once. The current status of the
CLEARRAY System appears on the LCD display, either “ON” or
“OFF.”
2. Press the (UP) or (DOWN) button to change the status
of the CLEARRAY System from either “ON” to “OFF.”
Note: If the “OFF” option is selected, then there is no need to continue
with the steps below. Selecting “OFF” disables the duration countdown
timer. Press the (DISPLAY) button to return to the water temperature
display.
3. Press the (SELECT) button to access the duration countdown
timer.
4. Press the (UP) button to program the duration countdown
timer to 365 days. If the timer is not at “0” pressing the “UP”
button will not reset it.
Note: You can only program


To turn the ClearRAY timer off (Second Step)

Press the cycle button until you see a “U”

Press the select button and it will read “ON”

Press the up or down temperature button until it reads “OFF”

Press the cycle button and it will exit that menu and read CIRC.

Press the Display button to get back to the temperature
