LED lighting problem
« on: July 01, 2014, 04:59:08 pm »
We have a Jacuzzi hot tub that is out of warranty and the LED's have a mind of their own.

The waterfall will not fully rotate through all colors and at times freezes on one color (Red).

The headrest and some drink holder ligts also will not rotate through all colors.
Then when lights are off opposing headrest and some drink holders stay on.
Suggestions?
We think it might be the electrical panel.

Thank you Jess

It could be the connectors to the control panel or the controller is mixed up. I would power down the spa and try to locate the connectors going to the LED lights. Remove them, check for corrosion or wetness, plug them back in. I would imagine you have a touch panel controller - do you see any dents where you press - it's possible that the blister button is making contact. If you keep the spa without power for at least 10 minutes the control board should electrically reset ... if you have a clock then you'll need to remove the memory battery if it has one and if it does have one - put a new one in, sometimes the battery being low/bad can cause issues with the function of electronic controls.

If it isn't something simple then it may mean that the touch panel or controller or both for the lights went bad.
