temperature through the seasons
« on: April 11, 2014, 11:03:50 am »
Got my tub end of last september and basically kept it at 102 through the winter. But now that things are warming up here in Philadelphia i find i'm dialing the tub down. Gonna to see how it feels at 99 degrees tonight. Come the summer i'm thinking that it'll be more like 90 degrees in the tub.

So curious what others do with the thermostat as the air temperture changes.

You'll be surprised how anything below 98.6 feels cold.

this...when customers asks what do keep their tubs at during July/August I always say you can use it as a cool tub by turning it down to 88-90 degrees...they all look at me like I have 3 heads lol, but like Tman said 88 degrees feels very cool to the body

I've done it, turned it down to be a cool tub and ended going slowly back up to 100. then 101-102 in winter. It's almost always cool at night here.

I'm in South Carolina.

102 in winter, 100 in summer. Usually.

Long soaks in summer, the temp will rise from the heat of the pumps in late July and August.

It's easier here to set it a degree cooler than intended, it will heat a degree or so quickly, but doesn't cool quickly except when cold here.

cool tub doesn't do much for me at all.

Being that we rarely use the HOT tub during the daylight, ours never goes below 101.  364 days a year it still cools off outside when we soak around 10pm.  If it is real hot still , our AC is on so we are going back into a cooler house.  Its the hot part of hot tub we enjoy the most.
