How I moved the Hot Tub, with Pictures
« on: March 29, 2014, 11:51:01 am »
I traveled from the Madison, WI area to Cincinnati, Ohio yesterday to pick up a tub I bought on Craigslist.  I know, it sounds crazy to travel so far, but when you find what you are looking for at a great price, you gotta go!  This is a Jacuzzi J375, that is one year old.  The previous owners had the tub sitting on a slab of concrete, elevated about six inches.  This made it easy to get my carts under the tub as we slid it off the slab.  These 4 castor carts are rated at 1000lbs, and were roughly 24"X18", and cost me $20 each at Menards.  The home owner also had a 4 wheeler which made the trek up the hill that much easier.

Tman, we were going to pull the tub up on the trailer with the atv, but we found we could just push it up by hand.  We the carts under the tub, it was surprisingly easy to move, although us WI boys are built like a brick sh*thouse!   ;)
