1300 $ lmao . 4 $ per feet max for the wiring , 100 $ for the gfci , 40 $ for the main breaker , your spa must be far away from your main box :P

Vortex,  I agree with your estimate.   If I was given an estimate for $1800 I would get at least two more estimates.  Is trenching involved?  If so, perhaps this has boosted up the price.

Did the electrician have to do anything else besides wire the tub?  Did he have to up your service in the house?  In mass a typical wiring job goes between $800-$1300 depending on how far the run is

I'm in MA and I came out just under $750 with 50ft of wiring...

For $1800 I could have had my spa wired and upgraded the house to 200A service, all inclusive.

That's what he's getting done I think.  $750 is a real good price.  You have to figure 300-500 in materials 50-100 for permits plus at least a few hours in labor.

To just wire the spa, then yes those numbers are close. But, if you have to upgrade your service panel, and add another box, then $1300 is right in line. Another poster said $1800 was their bid to do that, so I think its pretty fair.

Just got back from measuring the layout on the pad.....decided on location...now we have to finish clearing the snow and ice from the delivery area.....no using the tractor.....it would get stuck...going to need it when we are done clearing for it.....

Wew have a concrete pad already......we were trying to figure out placement of the tub on the pad and keep access to the basement open.......trying to decide wheth to power wash the concrete before it arrives.  Are there tub pads for underneath the tub?
