First day of Winter?
« on: December 22, 2013, 07:09:13 pm »
We've had the record for the most snowfall in the first 3 weeks of Winter.  But today its 62 and sunny!   Cleaned the filter and added some water.  Today I really appreciated the tub. I've having back surgery in early January and have to go off my arthritis medicine before that. Sure felt good, but I won't be able to use it for a month!  I haven't had longer than 5 or 6 days without a hot tub in 10 years.

Bill, I don't feel sorry for your snowfall at all. However it is a bummer that you have to have surgery and have to stay out of your tub. Here in Northern Minnesota we had 30 inches a few weeks ago and since then have had 3-6 inches added to it almost every other day and now have a huge amount of snow on the ground. I shovel and plow about every other day. I knocked some off my roof edges today and I see about 4-5 feet of the white stuff piled up. To top it off my 10 year old furnace has a heat exchanger problem and needs a reset every other time it kicks on. I have 2 electric heaters supplementing the forced air until I can get the parts and get it fixed. Likely won't be until after the holiday. Good thing my house is small with temps at night down in the 10-20 below range.

I had back surgery for a blown out disc a few years ago. Changed my world!! I had been flat on my back for five months. But I awoke in recovery with no pain. Not even the surgical site.

And for whatever reason, I was NOT banned from showers and/or the hot tub!

I can give you my Neurosurgeon's name, and it might very well be worth a trip to this coast...

Tman - you keep that snow up there. :D  Down in the cities have some snow, mostly just cold.

Bill - hope everything goes well for you and that you're back to happy hot tubbing!

Guess what?????? It's snowing again. So far in 3.5 weeks it has snowed every 30 hours from 3 to 30 inches. Started snowing on Saturday and stopped for about 12 hours up to now.

HAH HA! :)
We got that this morning (Winnipeg) and I knew it was coming your way when it was done with us. Wasn't a lot this time though. At least the temps are going up a little for the next week or so! It was only -5 today but for a while there we were getting down to -35. A little early in the Winter for those kinds of temps
