naked lady --ice cold Bengal hot tub

Hi

I have been enjoying my new 2004 bengal hot tub since hook-up and iinstallation Friday afternoon.  It has worked perfectly heat, jets ect since hook up.

Not to be graphic, but this morning I jumped out of bed, tore off my nightgown, went out the back door (with just a towel) and stepped into a cold hot tub.

The control panel said power and nothing was working.  So I went to the emergency switch (b/c it is on a 220 line) and flicked it.  Immediatley the jets worked but it seems that the heater will turn on, trip the circuit and then I have to open the panel and flick the heat switch inside tpo have it happen again.

I called my dealer and they have to call me back on Monday when there is a service tech.

The dealer says he has never heard of this occuring in brand new models.

Anyone have any clue?

:o How ya feeling now Mendocino? :D LOL

Sounds like it could be a faulty heater element.

Steve,

Is that easily fixed by the dealer?  Do they just put another one in?

Thanks for your input.

It should be a straight forward fix.

Lisa,

Put on some clothes, and try this:

Turn off both breakers.

Pull out your filter and give it a good rinse with the garden hose. Use your neighbor's, they have better water pressure, and they're not home anyway  ;)

Put the filter back in, and turn on only the 20 amp breaker.

Run the jets for about ten minutes.

Turn on the 30 amp breaker.

Check the temp in about an hour, and let us know how it is.
