pricing j345 and j365 in San Antonio
« on: September 05, 2013, 10:57:03 pm »

So grateful for the information in this forum as we've shopped for our first tub.  We've read, and wet tested, over and again, and feel very confident in our choice of either the jacuzzi 345 or 365, as well as the dealer we are working with.  The prices we've been quoted do seem high, though, and I want to feel good about the final price and negotiation process.  For the j345, we've been quoted $8300, with the cover, lifter, steps, startup chemicals, delivery and set up.  For the j365, the quote is $9000.

Our second choice was the hot springs vanguard, for which we were quoted $9000, from a different, and highly reputable, dealer.  Seems like the hs deal is the better deal, but we prefer the jacuzzi.  I'd appreciate any help I can get in negotiating the best deal I can on either of the jacuzzis.  Thanks much.

Those are all good prices.   Depending on the number of people using the spa the J-345 is a nice size and just a smaller version of the J-365 As far as negotiating it doesn't hurt to make an offer, but take into account what they are already giving you in extras.  Assuming the HS dealer is doing the same?

Thanks, I appreciate the quick reply.  Yes, the vanguard dealer has included the same package in their quote.  Do you think we'd regret not having the foot dome in the j365 if we got the j345?  Size isn't really an issue since it will primarily be used just by my husband (6', 200 lbs) and me (5'5", 125 lbs).

I think you would be fine, I like the foot dome but I like the 2 big power pro-jets in the 345 as well..

We were trying to decide between the J345 and 365 as well  just a few short weeks ago.  In the end we went with the 365 and I'm so glad we did!  The husband and I both agree the foot dome is one of the best features.  He has plantar fasciitis and it helps him immensely and I love that I can use it to get a good calf massage as well.  We've had it 2 weeks and have only missed 2 nights in it because of rain or working too late.  We love it!

The price you were quoted is what we paid as well for the tub, cover, lifter, steps, handrail, and delivery.

Just purchased a J365 last night in Ottawa, Canada at Club Piscine.  Floor price was already discounted to $8500, but in the end we got it for $8000 including cover, lifter, chemicals, delivery, set-up, GFI panel.  They also threw in a rubber ducky that lights up for my 2 year old, lol.  That was what sealed the deal. :-)  Only thing we'll need to pay in addition is to have the electrical wiring done.

Sooooo glad to hear you're pleased with the 365 -- we had the 345 delivered yesterday and my husband is in it right now!  As much research and wet testing as we did, we felt sure we'd enjoy either one, so we took the one that was in stock and we are thrilled. Just goes to show that when you get it down to two very good choices you're going to be fine!  But I'll admit I'm a little envious of that foot dome ... :)

Out total price ended up at $7800 (everything but electric, which was $500, and $300 for the best base you could ever ask for).  No rubber duck ... Sigh.

Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy!
