Jacuzzi J-345 components?
« on: May 20, 2004, 09:53:18 am »
I'm nearing a decision on the Jacuzzi J-345. Any information on this topic will be sincerely appreciated.

I was just wondering about the comment that the Jacuzzi J-345 and up uses Sundance components, below J-345 uses Sweetwater.

The owners manuals at the Jacuzzi web site seem to split the series into J-355, 365, 375, and 385(04LCDMan.pdf) and J-315, 325, 335, and 345(04LEDMan.pdf).

The 345 is similar to the 375 except it is smaller, has a different (smaller) control panel; and doesn't have the LCD lights.

Can anyone tell me if the J-345 has the same quality components as the higher series? If I'm happy with the comfort of the Spa is there anything else I should be concerned about.

Thank you,

Dale

I don't know what to say.  I think this may be the case, but it is going to take me some time to research your question this weekend.

I do not think that is entirely correct.  Sundance has two controllers for their spas...the LCD on the 850 series and the LED on the Portofino series.  The Sweetwater spas use an LED control.

Jacuzzi Premium also has the two controllers, the LCD and the LED.  The J-345 uses the LED controller.  The LCD gives you practically limitless programming control over your spa.  The LED uses preprogrammed settings.  The quality of the 345 components would be the same, just more "bells and whistles" with the LCD.

Go to www.jacuzzipremiumspas.com and download both owners manuals.  Then look in detail at the operating controls to see the difference.

Tony is right, the 345 uses the led controls. just less bells and whistles, and the warranty is the same on all 8 Jacuzzi models.  The pumps are the same as the 355 and up, no colored lighting. the 345 does not have a lounge like the 375, which is 91"x91" and the 345 is 84"x84".

I dont know about their guts, but after sitting in a SW and Jacuzzi, I didnt find any similarity.  The Jacuzzi was much nicer than the SW, comfort wise, looks wise and jets wise.
