Looking for Advice
« on: August 10, 2013, 01:06:49 pm »
Hi All,

I'm new to the Hot Tub scene and looking for advice.  I have a dealer coming through our region with factory direct pricing on dynasty hot tubs - a "Hot Tub Expo" as such.

There is no local store front, only in Ottawa (I'm in St. John's, NL, Canada) but they say they have a local service company.  I can purchase a "Dynasty Nautical Series Topsail" model tub fully decked out 8ftx8ft at a list price of $19,800 for $10,800.  $10,200 if I pickup as opposed to delivery.

Not sure if this type of tub or manufacturer is a quality tub compared to others, for example say the locally available (local store) HydroPool self cleaning tub.

Any comments, recommendations, or suggestions when trying to compare?

Thanks in advance....

Terry

"but they say they have a local service company."

Ask whom, and for a phone number...then call them.
If you can't sell it on eBay, it may not even qualify as landfill.

Retired (mostly) from the industry after 33 years...but still putzing around with a consumer information website, and trying to sell obsolete owners manuals

Thanks for the comments.

This is not a "BBQ, Spa, and Pool show".  They have a store in Ottawa called Subzerospas (www.subzerospas.com).  I checked them out online and they seemed legit.  However, I noticed they don't list the model I mentioned, Dynasty Nautical Series "Topsail" Model, on their website.

I did think of calling the listed local service provider which I will do and let you know what I find out.

What do you guys think of Dynasty as a manufacturer?

Hi, welcome to the forum!  I am a former Dynasty owner for 10 years.  When I bought the tub I had a local dealer. He went out of business. I found other local support for what I would call a decent average tub.  When I tried to contact Dynasty directly their customer service over the phone was terrible.  Try calling their number at 4:45pm on a Friday and see what kind of luck you get.  They couldn't even tell me what was in my own tub.
