Using Well Water in a Hot Tub
« on: July 30, 2013, 04:58:25 pm »
We are about to purchase a hot tub for our lake cottage and we have well water.  We use a treatment system for the in house water but could bypass that to fill the hot tub.  Are there any concerns we might be overlooking?

Also, we don't use the property from late November to early March.  Will it be a hassle to drain the tub each year?  Should we look for a specific type of model to make this easier?

With some well sourced water the pH may need more adjustment than city sourced water.
If your cabin is in an area that has freezing weather you should have the spa winterized and
not just simply drained.
