My Grandee comes in tomorrow! Woohoo! Last night I went to the dealer and had "the talk" about chemicals based on my water analysis.
My water has iron in it. 1.6ppm to be exact. I was told to drop 4oz of Rendezvous Protect Plus, wait 4-6 hours, then drop other chemicals in according to given amounts/schedule.
The protect plus will "neutralize" the iron by coating it.
The question is, the bottle says to keep adding it at the rate of 2oz per week. My dealer said this was not necessary for this tub and chemical system. How does this stuff work, what is the danger of iron, and can I really just drop 4oz of this stuff in and not think about it again until I empty/re-fill the tub??
