Not sure how you can put the label "great value" on a tub that has no proven record for longevity, is a power hog because of insufficient insulation, is underpowered according to both my wet test and several owners who own them and stated so to me personally and other professionals in the MPLS/STP market. But hey someone will value your opinion. After all it has a bunch of pretty lights.

No your not clueless. Your the same as any of the thousands and thousands of new owners of a particular brand we've seen here over the years on their honeymoon with their new tub. They are all fabulous when you first buy them. Hopefully YOU will be the one who sticks around for 5-10 years. A lot have said they will but none have. I think we have a 3-4 year old Costco tub owner around here someplace. But over the years they all seem to fade in a few years.

If I get 5 years out of a tub I only paid 3000 and 5000 for I'd be happy..

I have to pipe in here now. While I wouldn't buy from Costco I did buy a emerald spa from a box store 6 years ago and have had no problems. My wife and I soak almost daily and have from the beginning. While I paid less than 5000 it still is working fine and I have no complaints. I also expect it to last many more years. The difference between us is I understand my tub doesn't work for everybody. Maybe a little less attitude from all involved would help some. Most times if the Owners don't keep posting it is because they are happy with what they have. If they have problems they want to let everybody know. Just my 2 cents. Have a great evening.

Emerald has been selling value tubs for a lot longer than 5 years. They have been doing it for more than 20 I think. And they have sold them everywhere. They have earned a reputation as a solid "value" brand. They have had some problems over the years but have always sold an inexpensive option to a high end better built tub. They have always been a bit higher in energy consumption, shorter warranty, not as quiet or powerful but priced as such.

I don't understand how you can prod people, call them names and make outrageous statements at times but then at other times you play the victim card as if everyone here is out to get you . Are you like 17 years old or something?

Nope, I have no issue with anyone on this site. I don't claim to be a victim when people disagree with me nor do I outright insult people as you've been doing the past few days.

I hope you can keep that promise.

let me clairify the box store statement. When I stated that I was referring to a hot tub dealer with a actual store that I could visit. A dealer that had been in business for 50 plus years with knowledge in the industry. Some people prefer dealing with independent businesses and others like to go to the big corporations. Makes no difference for some. I would however put more stock in somebody that has experience for several years over a 1 week owner of a spa IMO only. Enjoy and have a great weekend..
